Leverage Devotional For Today Message:

The Word of God comes with the supernatural ability to impart faith. God’s Word is not like man’s. When God speaks, His Word carries an ability to persuade the heart of man. God’s Word appeals to the heart of man, man’s core, not his intellect. That’s why whenever you listen to God’s Word with your heart, you just believe it. The Bible tells us in Romans 10:10 that the part of man that believes is the heart. This is the core of man and this is where God’s Word is always directed. “God is a Spirit” (John 4:24). “God’s Word is spirit and life” (John 6:63). Therefore, when God speaks, He speaks to man’s spirit, not his head or intellect. You receive God’s Word with your spirit, not your intellect because your spirit will always agree with God. You may not understand what He said in your intellectual part, but you’ll find an agreement deep down inside of you.

Faith cannot come by praying for it; it comes by hearing the Word. If you find your faith dwindling in any area of life, then you need to expose yourself to God’s Word in that area. As you do, you’ll find out that your heart becomes fully persuaded in the integrity of God’s Word concerning that thing for which you are in faith. For instance, maybe your heart is not yet established in God’s Word about the subject of divine healing. You need to expose yourself to God’s Word on healing. You can do this by personally meditating on scriptures on healing, or by reading books written or messages preached by ministers who have results to show along that line. As you do this, faith will be stirred up in your heart and God’s Word will become your reality and experience. Beloved, every time you listen to the Word, listen with your spirit, not your head. Faith is imparted to your heart as you receive God’s Word with your spirit. Open your heart to God’s Word.
