Leverage Devotional For Today Message:

Faith is a spiritual principle that operates in a specific way and manner different from what common sense stipulates. The ways of faith are well spelt out in God’s Word. An effective faith life requires the heart to vitally connect with the words coming out of the mouth. Your words become effective carriers of power when your heart perfectly aligns with your mouth. Jesus reveals faith’s vital alignment in Mark 11:22-23. He said, whosoever shall speak unto a mountain to be uprooted and to be hurled into the sea with his heart in alignment with his mouth, he shall have what he says. This simply means a vital alignment of conviction with proclamation.

The mouth and the heart (not the heart that pumps blood, but the spirit or core of man) must resonate for faith to produce its demands in and through man. This is how the power of God is released for a performance of every Word spoken to us by Him. Another foundational example is how the believer became born again by “…confessing with the mouth the Lord Jesus and believing with the heart that God has raised Him from the dead” (Romans 10:8-10). We can learn to talk this way through training. You can train your heart to always agree with your mouth. This is faith’s vital alignment for the release of God’s supernatural power. The training required for faith’s vital alignment entails the discipline of meditation and speaking. Meditating on God’s Word helps to renew your mind to truth in readiness for your mouth to speak the Word of God. Discipline yourself to always say only what the Word says. When you are pressed to talk otherwise, say, “In the name of Jesus, I refuse to speak doubt and unbelief.” Be rather silent than utter doubt. Don’t let the enemy put you under pressure to say the wrong thing.

Heavenly Father, I thank You for teaching me to prosper through the Word of faith. I come in line with the truth of Your Word as to faith’s vital alignment in Jesus’ Name. AMEN.
