Leverage Devotional For Today Message:


When God began creation in Genesis 1, He began with His Word. The Word was the parent material He used to create the heavens and the earth. John 1:3 tells us that nothing was made without the Word. All things came by the spoken Word of God. We should imitate God as His dear children (Ephesians 5:1). This means that whatever projects you are about to embark on, you ought to begin with God’s Word. Get God’s Word about it. It may be a word quickened to you from the Scriptures by the Holy Spirit or a word given to you directly by the Spirit of God. When you get such a word, you put it in your mouth and make it your confession and declaration.

Barnabas and Saul (also called Paul) began their apostolic ministry by the Word of the Lord which the Holy Spirit gave them (Acts 13:1-3). They didn’t begin presumptuously; they waited until they got God’s Word to go, and this was the solid foundation on which they built their apostolic ministries. Don’t just start up a project presumptuously. Ensure you stay in the place of meditation and prayer till you get that specific Word which will form a solid foundation for whatever you intend to be involved in. Be wise to go by God’s Word, beloved. God bless you.

Heavenly Father, You are the Beginning and the End, and I declare that Your Word is the beginning and foundation of all my endeavours. I give Your Word first place in my life and ministry in Jesus’ Name. AMEN.
