Leverage Devotional For Today Message:

To have command of something is to be in charge of the same; to dictate the way it runs as well as the results it produces without being at the mercy of external forces. A word of command is an utterance of authority issued in force, by which things are set in order. In Matthew Chapter 8, the centurion came to Jesus on behalf of his sick servant and besought Him to heal his servant. Jesus offered to go with him to his house. However, he objected to this offer saying He was not worthy to have Jesus under his roof. He requested that Jesus speak “the Word only” and his servant would be healed. He buttressed this claim by saying he is a man under authority, who says to one of his soldiers, Come, and he comes; and to another, Go, and he goes (Matthew 8:9). Jesus was so thrilled by his understanding of faith.

The revelation in this account of scriptures is nothing short of the fact that when one is in faith, one commands; one does not suggest. Faith always puts you in charge of every situation of life. Beloved, it’s time you began to command your life by faith to steer in the direction of God’s will for you. How? You load up yourself with God’s Word concerning the situations of your life, and then begin speaking to your situations as a king. Don’t let things happen to you; rather, cause things to happen by speaking the Word of God with authority. So many times, Christians have attributed everything happening around them to God. No, God is not responsible for everything happening around you. You are a free moral agent and must learn to command your life instead of living at the mercy of situations and circumstances. Determine your outcomes by the Word of God. Speak the Word only!

 

MY SOLID FRONT (CONFESSION)

Heavenly Father, I thank You for I am not without God in this world. Thank You for the grace to pattern my life according to Your Word. I speak Your Word boldly and command the outcomes of my life in Jesus’ name. AMEN.
