Leverage Devotional For Today Message:


The man who had been bedridden for 38 years had been there helpless. He had no man to put him into the pool when the angel came down to stir the waters. Although the man was helpless, he was not without help. Sometimes, we look helpless and hopeless. Though it seems so, that is not the truth. Jesus Christ saw this seemingly helpless man and knew he had been in that situation for long and the Lord Jesus walked up to him and offered him help. Understand that you may feel helpless and hopeless but you are not without help or hope. Don’t be carried away and overwhelmed by your situation. I want you to look beyond your situation because there’s help and hope for you.


Helplessness or hopelessness is a state of the mind; it is not reality. The man felt helpless because he had no man but he didn’t know that he had a man in Jesus Christ. He said, “I have no man to put me in the pool…” but he didn’t know that he had a man in Jesus Christ. Everybody’s got a man in Jesus Christ. You have help in Christ. He is your Saviour, your Healer, your Provider, your Protector, your Helper. He will cover you from shame and you will not be ashamed. Beloved, remember that you are not without help. If you have Jesus, you have help. Psalm 46:1 says, “God is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble.” God is not just your Help, but your very present Help. It means He will show up at the exact time you need Him. The same Jesus who helped that man who thought he was helpless is with you right now. I declare that your hope is revived in Jesus’ name. Amen.

My Solid Front (Confession)

Thank you, Father, because You have proven to be my very present Help in my times of need. So, I acknowledge that I am not without help for You have arisen to show me help in Jesus’ name. Amen.

36 You provide a broad path for my feet,
so that my ankles do not give way.

 

10 So do not fear, for I am with you;

I will strengthen you and help you;
    I will uphold you with my righteous right hand.
