Leverage Devotional For Today Message:

The Amplified Bible puts our opening scripture this way, “And all of us, as with unveiled face, [because we] continued to behold [in the Word of God] as in a mirror the glory of the Lord, are constantly being transfigured into His very own image in ever increasing splendour and from one degree of glory to another; [for this comes] from the Lord [Who is] the Spirit.” The Word of God is likened to a mirror. When you look in a mirror, you see a reflection of yourself. When you look in the mirror of God’s Word, you see God’s picture of you. Regardless of what you think you look like or what other people say of you, the mirror gives you a true reflection of who you are. It’s the same with God’s Word. Regardless of what you think of yourself, in terms of your strengths and weaknesses, your ‘haves’ and your ‘have nots’, regardless of what people may think of you, the mirror of God’s Word shows you who you really are. God’s Word-mirror does not reflect your situations and circumstances in the natural but gives the reflection of what God has done for you in Christ Jesus.

Billy Graham Devotional 17 October 2024 – Searching for Peace?

When you look in the Word, you will see that you are the healed of the Lord and that you can do all things through Christ who strengthens you. The mirror of the Word shows you that you are not a sinner trying to find acceptance with God; rather, you are now the righteousness of God in Christ Jesus. Beloved, look into the Word today and see yourself the way God sees you. Believe what you see in the mirror of God’s Word about you; accept it as your reality. Transfigure from glory to glory as you confess your true identity in Christ according to God’s Word.

Heavenly Father, I thank You for the transformation that comes from looking into the mirror of Your Word. Thank You because I am being changed even now, in Jesus’ Name. AMEN
