Leverage Devotional For Today Message:

It’s important for us to realise that when God gives us His Word, He’s expecting returns from it. God’s Word is like a seed, and when a farmer plants a seed, he anticipates a harvest. No farmer sows for the fun of it; everyone does to reap a bountiful harvest. God is looking out for us to bear fruit with His Word that we’ve received. In John 15, the Lord Jesus called us the fruit bearing part of Himself, that is, the branches. He tells us that God, the Owner and Keeper of the vine is looking for fruit on the branches. Every branch in Him that bears fruit is pruned and taken care of so that it may bear more fruit. However, the branches that refuse to bring forth fruit after receiving nutrient are removed.

You have a part to play in allowing God’s Word produce in your life; it’s not all up to God. You need to realise that God is expecting a harvest of the seeds He’s sown in your life. You must decide to be responsible with the Word of God knowing that God’s Word to you is His investment in you, and every investor expects a return on their investment. What have you done with God’s Word that you know? Have you acted on the Word and produced commensurate results? Or has the seed of the Word been lying dormant in your heart? It’s time to actively take up the Word of God that has come to you and use it so you can bear fruits that will bring God pleasure. Be a doer of God’s Word. Put the Word to work; engage it in active use for the purpose of profiting with it.

MY SOLID FRONT (CONFESSION)
In the Name of Jesus, I declare that the seed of God’s Word that I’ve received takes root in me and brings forth fruit maximally. I do not allow the cares of this world or the deceitfulness of riches choke God’s Word in my heart in Jesus’ Name. AMEN.
