The Leverage Devotional by Apostle Segun Obadje 30 August 2024: Don't Touch Strife II

Leverage Devotional For Today Message:

In an atmosphere of envy and strife, confusion and every evil work thrive. In an atmosphere of love, however, the blessing thrives. Strife is terrible and breeds every evil work, which includes sickness, fear, oppression, etc. That is how terrible strife is! To permit strife is to permit every evil work. You may not mean to permit every evil work in your life by permitting strife. Every evil work is the effect or consequence of permitting strife. If you are involved in strife because you have to prove a point, you are not displaying wisdom. Even if you were right and your brother or sister was wrong, that’s no excuse to accommodate strife.

Strife, for the right or wrong reason, is wrong as long as you are in Christ. If you are an employer of labour and you find your employees in strife, call them and resolve their bone of contention amicably. If they refuse reconciliation and continue to strive, fire them. Never employ anyone you cannot disengage or fire. This may sound extreme but the truth is they will kill your business if you don’t disengage their service with you. Once strife comes in, the blessing goes out. After Abraham had resolved the strife that came up between his herdsmen and Lot’s, God appeared to Him. God told him that the land to the east, west, north and south was his. That included the land Lot chose for himself. When you let go of the thing for which your brothers, sisters or friends are in strife with you about, God gives them and theirs to you for a possession. Choosing the path of peace is choosing the path of true prosperity. Avoid strife as you would a plague!

MY SOLID FRONT (CONFESSION):
In the name of Jesus, I declare that I will give no place to strife but I follow peace with all men. I depend solely on God to prosper me beyond my imagination, despite the hostility that I face with people, in Jesus’ Name. AMEN.

Further Meditation: Proverbs 15:18; Psalms 31:20.
