The Leverage Devotional by Apostle Segun Obadje 1 March 2024: The Psychology of Prosperity II

Leverage Devotional For Today Message:

To have the psychology of prosperity is to carry yourself in the consciousness and awareness of prosperity. This means you are conscious and aware that you are a blessed man or woman. Therefore, you do not think in small measures. When you do things, you do them big, super, glorious, and excellent. The greater One is inside of you, and you are in union with Him, so you are only permitted to do great things. The psychology of prosperity means that you labour with your hands with the goal of making a difference in your world. As a believer, you must attain excellence in whatever you set your hands to do. Scriptures say that whatever a righteous man does prospers (Psalms 1:1-3). Because you expect to prosper, then you must work with that mindset of prosperity. Don’t allow a poor mindset to cause you to lower your work standard just because you are trying to make money. A mindset that only thinks of making money is a poor mindset.

Do you know that God can give you one business or innovative idea that would impact your society and change your life forever? However, your mindset will determine how well you explore that idea. The moment you yield to the temptation to settle for the minimal or basic, you will find yourself plateauing in a zone of just having what to eat and drink. Beloved, God is calling you out from a zone of living from hand-to-mouth to trailblaze a new mindset of great wealth and prosperity where you can make a significant change in your world. When God blesses you with creative ideas, you ought to show yourself approved as a good steward by praying, meditating, reading, putting pen to paper, and strategizing until that idea makes you a big name in your industry or society. Up your game, beloved. Drop any mindset of poverty that your environment has tried to wire into you and embrace the mindset of living a prosperous life.

My Solid Front (Confession)
Heavenly Father, I thank You for the substitutionary work of redemption that has brought me into prosperity, affluence, and significance. I declare that the works of my hands are blessed. Nothing dies in my hands; nothing remains small in my hands. Whatsoever I lay my hand on prospers in the name of Jesus. I open up my mind today as a stakeholder in partnership with God, to receive abundance of creative ideas to impact the world through the abundant riches of God’s glory. Amen.

Further Meditation: Genesis 26:1-4,12-14; Exodus 35:30-35

Genesis 26:1-4,12-14;

1 Now there was a famine in the land—besides the previous famine in Abraham’s time—and Isaac went to Abimelek king of the Philistines in Gerar. The Lord appeared to Isaac and said, “Do not go down to Egypt; live in the land where I tell you to live. Stay in this land for a while, and I will be with you and will bless you. For to you and your descendants I will give all these lands and will confirm the oath I swore to your father Abraham. I will make your descendants as numerous as the stars in the sky and will give them all these lands, and through your offspring[a] all nations on earth will be blessed,[b]

12 Isaac planted crops in that land and the same year reaped a hundredfold, because the Lord blessed him. 13 The man became rich, and his wealth continued to grow until he became very wealthy. 14 He had so many flocks and herds and servants that the Philistines envied him.

Exodus 35:30-35

30 Then Moses said to the Israelites, “See, the Lord has chosen Bezalel son of Uri, the son of Hur, of the tribe of Judah, 31 and he has filled him with the Spirit of God, with wisdom, with understanding, with knowledge and with all kinds of skills— 32 to make artistic designs for work in gold, silver and bronze, 33 to cut and set stones, to work in wood and to engage in all kinds of artistic crafts. 34 And he has given both him and Oholiab son of Ahisamak, of the tribe of Dan, the ability to teach others. 35 He has filled them with skill to do all kinds of work as engravers, designers, embroiderers in blue, purple and scarlet yarn and fine linen, and weavers—all of them skilled workers and designers.
