The Leverage Devotional by Apostle Segun Obadje 18 FEBRUARY 2024: BELIEVE IN THE EXCHANGE AT CALVARY
Number 21:8; Isaiah 53:4-5
Number 21:8 “Make thee a fiery serpent and set it upon a pole, and it shall come to pass that every one that is beaten, when he looketh upon it shall live”.
4 Surely he took up our pain
and bore our suffering,
yet we considered him punished by God,
stricken by him, and afflicted.
5 But he was pierced for our transgressions,
he was crushed for our iniquities;
the punishment that brought us peace was on him,
and by his wounds we are healed.
Leverage Devotional For Today Message:
Today, I want to talk to you about the need to believe in the vital exchange that took place at Calvary in your favour. God wants you to believe in that exchange. Jesus Christ was your Substitute and He took your place. When He took your place, He represented you right before the Father in order that you might take His place. It was an exchange of profitability. It was an exchange of good and for good. It was an exchange in your own interest. In Numbers 21, we see how the children of Israel rebelled and murmured against God and Moses, the servant of the Lord. Because of their rebellion and murmuring, a venomous beast came forth and began to bite them and many people died. Then, they cried out to God in repentance. Moses cried to God and the Lord instructed him to make a fiery serpent and place it on a pole such that everyone who was bitten and looked at the serpent on the pole would live and not die. And it was so according to the Word of the Lord.
This event was only a type of the death and suffering of Jesus Christ on Calvary. Jesus Christ died for you on that Calvary tree, and He took your place. He took your poverty, sicknesses, diseases, lack, fear, and shame. He took everything away in order that you might have every good thing that He has brought to you by that exchange. When you look to the One who was slain for you and hung on the cross for you, you will live and not die. Believe in that exchange, beloved. See your poverty, sicknesses and diseases on Jesus Christ. You are not going to bear them anymore. Believe in the exchange that took place at Calvary. Look to Jesus who took your place, and you will step right into His place of righteousness, health, wealth, and prosperity.

Heavenly Father, I thank You for the vital exchange that took place at Calvary for my sake. I lay hold on all the benefits and privileges of the death and resurrection of my Lord Jesus to live the life of the new man at its best in Jesus’ name. Amen.
