Joshua 1:8 “This book of the law shall not depart out of thy mouth; but thou shalt meditate therein day and night, that thou mayest observe to do according to all that is written therein: for then thou shalt make thy way prosperous, and then thou shalt have good success.”

Leverage Devotional For Today Message:
There is a way God has ordained for His children to prosper as against the way unbelievers prosper. The way God has ordained for us to prosper is by allowing His Word to abound in our hearts. We prosper by faith and faith comes by hearing the Word of God. As a believer, you live and walk by faith (Romans 1:17; 2 Corinthians 5:7). So, this means if you must prosper, it has to be by faith. There is faith prosperity and there is fleshly/carnal prosperity. In scriptures, there are two allegories of how a man can prosper: after the flesh or after the promise (by faith). The two sons of Abraham, Isaac and Ishmael represent these allegories. Ishmael was born by the flesh and Isaac was the son of promise (by faith). Ishmael came by the strength of Abraham, but when Isaac was to come, Abraham couldn’t do it in his own strength anymore. So, Abraham had to trust God, and God quickened Abraham’s body, and opened the womb of Sarah; then, Isaac was born.
It is important to understand that there’s a kind of prosperity that is Ishmael-like and there is another kind of prosperity that is Isaac-like. God wants you to have the Isaac-like prosperity that comes with a blessing and abounds forever. The Isaac-like prosperity happens when we trust in the Lord and do not lean on our own understanding. Look at the opening scripture again; it is the almighty formula for prosperity. When you meditate on God’s Word and you observe to do all that it says, then you will have not just success, but good success. Prosperity happens when you allow God’s Word to abound in you. Quit struggling, hustling, or running from pillar to post. Trust the Lord to meet your needs and God will show you how to make your way prosperous. This is how to prosper in the kingdom way.

Heavenly Father, I thank You for the power of Your Word to cause me to shift from one prosperity level to another in increasing measure. Therefore, I pay keen attention to Your Word and I trust You absolutely to show me the pathway to prosperity, the kingdom way. Amen.
