Leverage Devotional For Today Message:


Faith is always revealed in words. Our words will always be at the level of our faith. The opening Scripture shows us that the spirit of faith speaks. Whatever you believe will show up in your words. Jesus said our words come from the abundance of the heart (Matthew 12:34). In Numbers 13, God commanded Moses to send spies to the land He was giving them to inherit. Twelve spies went in and ten came back with what the Bible calls an evil report (Numbers 13:32). They admitted that the land was good as God had said it, but they also said there were giants in the land and that they were unable to dispossess them of the land. They blamed Moses and Aaron for bringing them into the wilderness to die with their children.

God was angry with that generation and swore that they would not enter into the Promised Land. He further said in Numbers 14:28 that He was going to do to them as He had heard them say in His ears. They had talked about dying in the wilderness, and God said they would have exactly what they had said. That generation of Israelites died in the wilderness though God’s plan for them was to enter in and possess the land of Canaan. Their unbelief which they expressed in their words resulted in their death in the wilderness. Only Joshua and Caleb who believed and spoke differently entered into God’s promise for them. Beloved, what are you saying over and about your life today? Is it consistent with God’s Word to and about you? It’s time to speak in line with God’s Word. Speak the Word, not your situation. Speak the Word, not your feelings, and you will see things fall in line for you speedily.

Father, I align my words with Yours today. My faith is in You and Your Word. Therefore, my words conform to Yours in Jesus’ Name. AMEN.
