Leverage Devotional For Today Message:

God is one with His Word. Every Word that proceeds out of God’s mouth is consistent with His nature and person. God’s Word does not have a character different from Himself. For example, the Bible tells us that God is love (1 John 4:8). Since God is one with His Word, it means that God’s Word is love, too. It means that God’s Word will always communicate love anytime it is preached. God is a faith God; His Words will always communicate faith, not unbelief or doubt. “Faith cometh by hearing, hearing by the Word of God” (Romans 10:17). The Word of God will not communicate unbelief, neither will it communicate fear. This is why every time anyone in the Scriptures experienced a supernatural visitation from a heavenly being, they were always told “Fear not”.

Any thought, statement or word that doesn’t communicate God’s love or faith is not the Word of God, even if it is being quoted from the Bible or spoken by a preacher. This is how to distinguish between God’s Word and falsehood, ‘Is it consistent with God’s essence, nature and person’? Beloved, God cannot be separated from His Word. Human beings may say one thing and do another, but God cannot be separated from His Word, for they are one. Therefore, whatever God says is as good as Himself. Beloved, you can lean on God’s Word as much as you can lean on Him. Receive God’s Word as God speaking to you. Lean on His Word with absolute trust in Him. Trusting in God is trusting in His Word. You can only trust God as much as you can trust His Word. Believe in God as you put your faith in His Word.

Heavenly Father, I thank You for showing me that You are one with Your Word. I esteem Your Word as I highly as I esteem You. I receive Your Word as You speaking to me, in Jesus’ Name. AMEN.
