Leverage Devotional For Today Message:

Church is the family of God, a gathering of God’s children who have been redeemed from corruption and recreated to live in newness of life before God in love. Church attendance is a must for every serious minded and Jesus-loving believer. The Word admonishes us to not forsake the assembly of believers, that is, church (Hebrews10:25). It is bad mannerism for Christians to play truancy with church attendance. Haphazard church attendance gives much room to the devil to lure into darkness. The Word says to give him no place (Ephesians 4:27). There is so much in church for the believer to receive: the Word, the Spirit, grace, wisdom for the next level, edification (spiritual, mental, emotional, etc.), lifting through worship, fellowship with the brethren and lots more. In view of these privileges available in church, church attendance must be purposeful.

It’s not okay to go to church with a casual attitude of no expectation. Church is the place where your life is upgraded and real value is added to you. Always expect something good happen to you in church, because it’s a place of transformation. When you go to church, be prepared to receive everything God has prepared for you. It takes a prepared heart to receive prepared blessings. Every church meeting you attend ought to take you from glory to glory. God’s plan for you is in phases and in degrees. Therefore, He has packaged every church meeting to take you into the fullness of the many-sided dimensions of His plan for your life. Every church meeting ought to be a lift to a higher level in your graceful ride into destiny. God wants to make eternal deposits in your life at every church meeting you attend, remarkable enough to cause a landslide transformation on your inside. Be purposeful with church attendance. Have specific desires you want God to meet as you go to church.

Heavenly Father, I thank You for planting me in Your graceful family called the Church. I avail myself of all the privileges in my local assembly to grow and mature into the measure of the stature of the fullness of Christ, in Jesus’ Name. AMEN.
