Leverage Devotional For Today Message:

Our opening scripture describes our origin as new creatures in Christ Jesus. We were born into Christ at salvation by identifying, in faith, with the sufferings, death, burial, and resurrection of Christ. This act of faith in Christ has reinstated us into a new life with the Father God. This is a good thing that is worthy of celebration and rejoicing. However, it is not enough to stop at this level like many believers do, and they soon experience certain limitations in working out their new life. It is very important to understand how the new life that you have received works. You are a new man in Christ, no longer the old man who was born into sin. This new nature ought to count for something significant.

There two important things you need to understand to maximise your new status in Christ:
1) Understand that you have been born of God and you carry God’s nature;
2) Understand that you are in union with Christ.
As a Christian, you are born, not after the will of man, nor by flesh or blood, but by the seed of God’s word. This understanding exposes you to the nature of righteousness and true holiness that God carries and you begin to see yourself that way as you keep beholding the glory of God in communion with Him. Then it dawns on you that you carry the DNA of God and that without struggling, you can be holy as your heavenly Father is holy, because it is your nature. Also, as a Christian, your union with Christ helps you to live a life of dominion and impact because you see yourself seated with Christ in heavenly places (Ephesians 2:6). You face life with so much audacity and fearlessness because your life is hidden with Christ in God. You can exercise dominion over any situation. You can lead in anything you do in life because you are seated above and you are above all (John 3:31). Don’t live like a victim because you are not. You are born from above and seated above all. Learn to open your mouth and engage your authority in Christ because you are one with Him.

My Solid Front (Confession)
Thank You, Father, for opening my eyes to see that I carry Your DNA and I’m seated with Christ in heavenly places. I begin to act out the realities of where I belong and I dominate over all things on earth. I live the life of true holiness and I am in charge of my world. Hallelujah!
