Leverage Devotional For Today Message:


We have been commanded to love. As long as you are a believer, love is not an option for you; it is a command. Jesus Christ commanded it! We are to love others even as Christ loved us. How did Christ love us? Unconditionally! His love for us is not a function of what we do. While we were yet sinners, without the ability to please God, Christ died for us (Romans 5:8). As believers and disciples of Jesus, we are to love as Christ loved us. Our love should not be a function of what people do or say to us but it should be unconditional, that is, a function of how much God loves us. Our love for others is an extension of God’s love for us.

We love because it is our nature to love; we are God’s children and we have been born of God (I John 4:7). We love because the love of God has been shed abroad in our hearts by the Holy Spirit who resides in us. “And hope maketh not ashamed; because the love of God is shed abroad in our hearts by the Holy Ghost which is given unto us” (Romans 5:5). We love because God is love. If we know God, then we know love. Love and God cannot be separated from each other. If God is in us, then love is in us (1 John 4:16). If we are children of God, then we are children of love. We have been given the spirit of power, love and a sound mind. Love, faith and hope abide but love is the greatest of all three. No matter what you do as a Christian, without love you are nothing.

MY SOLID FRONT (CONFESSION)
Heavenly Father, I thank You because I am born of You. I am a love being. Love is my nature because I am born of You. I walk in love towards all men. I show to all that I am indeed a disciple of Jesus Christ by my unconditional love walk, in Jesus’ Name. AMEN
