Leverage Devotional For Today Message:

Just as bread (food) is the substance for the sustenance of man’s natural life, so is the Word of God the sustaining substance and power of the recreated human spirit. The Word declares “And Jesus answered him, saying, It is written, that man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word of God” (Luke 4:4). The physical foods we eat are sourced from the earth (dust), from which the human body was formed (Genesis 1:11), while the Word of God (food for our spirit) is the parent source from which the human spirit was made (1 Peter 1:23). Man is primarily a spirit being who has a soul and lives in a body (1 Thessalonians 5:23); therefore, man can only be sustained primarily by the Word. To be aglow in the Spirit is to be fervent and vibrant spiritually, that is, to be fit, healthy, and on fire for God. Just as the natural man cannot function at his best when he is starved of natural food, so is the spiritual man when he is starved of the Word of God. The Word of God is our life.

The recreated man in Christ functions at his best when he is fed by the Word of God. You are as strong as the Word of God, living and abiding in you. Meditating on God’s Word daily is important for the sustenance and vitality of your recreated human spirit. God’s Word contains all the vital nutrients and strength you need for a rounded growth as a new man in Christ. God’s Word is Spirit and Life (John 6:63). God’s Word is meant to inspire you for life and ministry. As you receive God’s Word daily, it sets you on your feet and causes you to be energized for life. God’s Word prepares you to be ready to face life challenges without flinching. Beloved, feed on the Word.

MY SOLID FRONT (CONFESSION)
Heavenly Father, I thank You for the provision in Your Word to be aglow in the spirit. Therefore, I commit myself to feeding on Your Word daily. I choose to meditate on Your Word until I am fully fed by it, in Jesus’ Name. AMEN
