Leverage Devotional For Today Message:


“God is not a man that He should lie; neither the son of man that He should repent: hath He said, and shall He not make it good?” Numbers 23:19

Beloved, God’s Word is full of power. It is more than a means of communicating or conveying information. God’s Word is a container carrying His power. When human beings speak, they do so to pass information across, but God’s Word doesn’t just pass information across; it contains power to make happen what God has said. Words spoken by men may communicate and express feelings and emotions but they do not carry any ability to effect changes. God’s Word to a sick person not only informs that person that healing is available for him, but also carries with it the power to heal. Psalm 107:20 says, “He sent his word and healed them…” God’s Word possesses healing power.

The account of creation in Genesis 1 shows us how God brought things into being by speaking. Hebrews 11:3 says, “Through faith we understand that the worlds were framed by the Word of God…” You need to realise that when you receive God’s Word, you have received His transforming power to effect the desired changes in your life. God’s Word is the instrument with which He brings about change. If the heavens and the earth were made and are still upheld by His Word, your life is not too big for God’s Word to influence and change (Hebrews 1:3). Believe the Word of God and receive it as the change agent for your transformation.

Heavenly Father, I thank You for the power inherent in Your Word. I declare that the circumstances and situations in my life conform to the power of Your Word in Jesus’ Name. AMEN.
